So today we are going to discuss the Top 10 Programming Languages of January 2023. So that you can gain a lot of confidence and choose the best programming language to start your career.

So here we are going to describe 10 Popular Languages in January 2023, and the data of these programming languages are based on PYPL Index or Google Trends

So let's discuss these 10 popular programming languages in January 2023.

1. Python

As compared to the last month or for a long time, Python Programming is still increasing in the market and it is most influential worldwide.  And Python Programming Language is still on the top position of the PYPL  Index (World Wide) January 2023.

2. Java

Java Programming is at the second position in PYPL Index. And from the last few months, Java was still in second position. But now these days, the demand of Java Programming is increasing.

3. JavaScript

Like, the other programming language JavaScript, in December 2022 was at the third position in PYPL Index. However, in July 2022 JavaScript was at 7th position on PYPL Index. So the popularity of JavaScript is increasing.

4. C#

This programming language runs on the .NET FrameworkIt is mainly used to build desktop applications and games. It is also the most popular and most used programming language. But according to the PYPL Index February 2023 the popularity of C# is now decreasing.

5. C/C++

C/C++ is basically the oldest and most popular programming language but these are the root of other programming languages like C#Java, and JavaScript. And C language is a general-purpose programming language.

And C Programming Language is also known as the "Mother of all Programming Languages". But the popularity of C/C++ is continuously increasing day by day. So now according to PYPL Index C/C++ are on the 5th position.

6. PHP

PHP is an open-source programming language. So many web developers find PHP is easy to learn and more than 70% of websites on the internet are built using PHP.

Now according to PYPL Index January 2023, PHP gained a lot of popularity and it is now on the 6th position. 

7. R

R is an open-source language. And in the last two or three months R Programming Language has not become part of the Top 10 popular languages in November 2022. However, in December or January, it holds the 4th position according to PYPL Index.

8. TypeScript

TypeScript is new in the list of Top Programming Languages. It is a typed version of JavaScript and it was developed by Microsoft in 2012. It is used to create JavaScript-based projects with typing in both Frontend and Backend development.

8. Rust

Rust is a statically typed, multi-paradigm, systems programming language that was first introduced in 2010. It gains too much popularity in very less time and it has been adopted by some popular companies like Microsoft, Dropbox, and Amazon.

Rust is designed to be fast, efficient, and secure and it's heavily influenced by C++. Now it is on the 8th index according to PYPL Index in February 2023. And one of the key features of Rust is its focus on safety.

8. Swift

Swift is an open-source programming language and it is easy to learn. And Swift is now becoming more popular day by day. And it is used to build iOS applications. Swift language is created by Apple for building apps for iOS, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch. And now the Swift language is in the list of Top 10 programming languages according to PYPL Index 2023.

10. Objective-C

Like Swift and some other Programming Languages, Objective-C Programming Language become a part of the 10 Popular Programming Languages in January 2022. It is a high-level, object-oriented programming language. 

Objective-C is a dynamic language that is widely used to develop applications for Mac OS X and iOS operating systems.
